Six workflows to evaluate with Amazon Bedrock

Use six concrete workflow patterns to define inputs, outputs and acceptance boundaries.

Choose a workflow, not an industry label

These are evaluation patterns, not claims of completed customer projects. For each, prepare approved source material, representative requests, an owner and a comparison with the current process.

Workflow Inputs and useful output Acceptance boundary
Financial policy lookup Approved policy versions; cited explanation No investment decision or unauthorized record
Commerce service Product rules and authorized order query; next-step guidance Order identity and refund approval remain enforced
Manufacturing knowledge Equipment/version-specific manuals; supported troubleshooting steps Escalate hazardous or unsupported actions
Game operations Current event rules; multilingual player guidance Correct event/version and reviewed content
Internal work Permitted policies and meeting material; sourced summary Respect team permissions and confidential material
Contact-center assistance Authorized knowledge and case context; draft response or routing suggestion Agent review for commitments and sensitive cases

Decide which capability each task needs

Stable text transformation may need only a model call. Changing rules benefit from retrieval. Account-specific status requires an authenticated read-only tool. A refund, maintenance action or external commitment needs application controls and an approval rule. Do not add write tools merely because the interface is conversational.

Run a comparable pilot

Test normal work, ambiguous inputs, unavailable records and requests outside the allowed task. Measure accepted outcomes, review effort, latency and total cost. Keep task-specific failure criteria: a wrong document version in maintenance advice matters differently from an awkward phrase in a draft announcement.

Produce a workflow specification, data and permission map, evaluation results and operating owner. Select the next scenario from observed value and readiness; six possible patterns do not imply that every organization needs six applications.
